We had a telephone call from a woman who required to learn where her husband was. He had left her and also the youngsters but had not given her a forwarding address. She told us that although he came to see their young children as soon as a week he didn’t give her any funds for them and without an address for him she could not give his particulars towards the CSA. He had changed his job when he left and she didn't know where he was operating now. The only time she knew exactly where he was was when he came to see the youngsters.
We decided that to learn exactly where he was living and operating we must fit a tracking device to his car. This would tell us where he was staying and exactly where he was operating. The auto belonged to our client so we could fit the device when he subsequent came to go to the kids. We suggested the device should stay on the car for two weeks. This would ensure a good pattern of movements from the vehicle.
We found the info within the first week and having a few follow up telephone calls confirmed the information was appropriate. We removed the device following two weeks and our client could give the data towards the CSA. Our client then decided she wanted to know if he was cohabitating with yet another woman. We carried out surveillance on the house address we had discovered for him. After three sessions of six hour slots we had enough evidence of cohabitation for our client to take to her solicitor.
We have since located out that she has filed for divorce on the ground of adultery and that he left her for this new woman. He has had to pay all of the arrears from the CSA.
